Other circuits passing by Liverdun are described on the map IGN (NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC INSTITUTE) of the Val de Lorraine and on the descriptive guide realized by the French Alpine Club, on sale in the Tourist office and on the site. To discover Liverdun on foot
Liverdun opens to the visit thanks to its medieval town and its numerous sites to be discovered in walks to be only made, in family or with possibility of reserving a guide of the Office of Tourism for the groups.
Visit in the heart of the city
A small course in the streets of the city is suggested following by means of an explanatory leaflet, available on the Office of Tourism of Liverdun.
You can discover it the history of the town and its monuments such as:
- The High door
- The Church Saint Pierre
- The former Presbytery or Blouet de Camilly hotel
- The place of the Fountain
- The castle Corbin
- Its houses the Renaissance
It is also possible to make a hike since the High Door of Liverdun by means of an explanatory leaflet available on the Office of Tourism of Liverdun.
The course can be made on a distance of 5 or 8 km according to the chosen buckle and asks 1 hour 15 or 2heures.
This pleasant walk allows to discover at the same moment the forest of Liverdun, the city and the edges of the Moselle.
Visit of the city and its suburb
There are several courses of marked out walk, available on the office of Tourism, proposed by the French Union of the Hikes and the Hikes of Liverdun:
- The circuit of Natrou which starts of the Office of Tourism of Liverdun and extends over 15 km *
- The circuit of Jaillon which starts of the city hall of Jaillon and extends over 7 km. It is possible to make it in continuance of the course of Natrou, what results in a 22 km walk. The Territory of the Association of local authorities of Pompey's Pond proposes three hikes with stopover by Liverdun, presented on the leaflet of the Association of local authorities " Invitation à la découverte " available on the Tourist office of Liverdun.
- Has ride Liverdun / Saizerais: of the medieval city in fields:Le cross, which starts of the station of Liverdun, is made on a distance of 14 km and lasts 4 hours. There is no particular difficulty for this walk on the edges of the Moselle.
- Has ride Frouard Frouard/Liverdun/Pompey Liverdun: by the forest and the edges of Moselle:Il involves a ballad of 4 hours which extends over 13 km, at once(at the same time) through the forest and along the Moselle. The ride begins in the city hall of Frouard. This route(course) does not present particular difficulty if it is not the climb of Rays that leads to the ruins of the fortress of Rays.
- Has ride Pompey Pompey/Liverdun/Pompey Liverdun: journey in the medieval time(:Le departure of this buckle is made in the car park of the fitness trail of Pompey's Avant-garde. The course, which extends over approximately 15 km and lasts 4 hours, has no particular difficulty. It is presented here, a walk at once forest, through Pompey's wood, and cultural, with the discovery of the medieval village of Liverdun.
